Ron with a cigar
Ron was an enthusiastic fan and drove his warmed over Ford truck to the races with a cigar in his mouth. He didn't miss many races and was a Wagtimes supporter from the start. He won a Wagtimes quilt when we sold plaing cards and drew the winner from that. His son Ron Jr was an EMT at the track for more years than I know and was always bringing his dad when driving became an issue. He always had something to tell me and it was sad when he passed away. R.I.P. my friend.
