I met John when he was introducing his "Racers Trust" just before Ascot closed. He worked hard for years trying to get a new location for a track in the Ascot area. This was a dream of his that never died. John was a member of Verne Sweeney's crew and also one of his sponsors for as long as I can remember. His support of the Wagtimes was often, and with a friendly smile. He was lucky in many ways with his friendships and his life. He drove a sporty little Jaguar and attended most of the CRA/SCRA races until his death.

John worked hard at racing and having fun. He will be remembered for his smile and his tenacity. He was quick to point out the good things and expound on them. He had a goal in life and I think he achieved it. We will miss him and the things he did. R.I.P. John.
