Jerry Drake passed away November 7, 2003 at age 45. Many know Jerry from
the pit crews of Danny Ent, Mike Kirby and Ricky Gaunt. Jerry was
introduced to the sprint car family through Danny Ent. Jerry and Danny
raced desert together. After Danny moved on to other racing venues, Jerry
joined Danny as a member of his pit crew. It was through this relationship
that Jerry also met his Fiancee, Sherri Kirby (Danny’s sister-in-law).
Jerry was a big hearted individual and never missed an opportunity to lend
a helping had. He will be deeply missed.
