Bob leads Billy Shuman

Bob East is one of most celebrated car builders/team managers in USAC racing history. Under his leadership, the formidable Nine Racing team won 12 USAC National Midget Championships and more than 150 feature wins.

East has won four Silver Crown championships with Tony Stewart. His cars have also won Silver Crown championships with Ryan Newman, Mike Bliss and Jason Leffler and Bobby East. Bryan Clausen has won the latest USAC sprint car championship. East has also won championships with his midgets - Josh Wise in 2005 and Ralph Potter in the early 90s. More recently, Darren Hagen has claimed 3 consecutive USAC National Midget Series Pavement Championships in a Beast from 2010-2012.

In 1988, he opened B. East Enterprises and began rolling out what is arguably the best chassis racing on USAC tracks today. His Beast chassis have won the National USAC Midget Championships for the Nine Racing team, and have won every Silver Crown National Championship since 1991.

East began his racing career as a driver in West Coast sprint car racing, winning events in both CRA and USAC
