Jake Swanson had his front end collapsed by another competitor in his heat race. He came back to gas it up in the B-main, finishing 2nd to transfer. On lap 12 in the feature, while racing hard with Dave Darland for 11th, Jake ran over Darlands left rear and went over in turn three, done for the night, finishing 20th. Tough luck continues for the Moose Team...

This group shot is a small but heartfelt tribute to Jeremy Rhodes, a fellow photographer (bottom row, third from left) has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and is bravely fighting for his life. Fellow photographer Chris Pederson (top row, fifth from left) and I thought it would be a good idea to get a group shot of his brother photographers, and send him a huge print for his man cave. At the final ISW race at Haubstadt, we passed the hat around among the photogs and video guys, and collected $325, which we presented to him as a group in a touching, if somewhat emotional gathering of the photo clan in a show of support to Jeremy, who is such a cool guy, and has helped countless other photogs, myself included, because that's just the way he is. Great guy!!!

Steve Sez: Very good race track at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville - heavy early, with a huge cushion developing in turn three later. 47 cars! Kevin Thomas, Jr. gave it a go on the high line, but couldn't catch the bottom-feeding Brady Bacon, with Jerry Coons, Jr. finishing third.
