Janice Ruth Difford Yost Fargo, 59, went home to her Maker on May 6, 2004. Jan was an inspiration to all those who knew her. Her will to live was strong and her battle with cancer lasted 14 years. She was born in Warren, Ohio and graduated from Champion High School in 1962. She attended Ohio State University. She moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1966. In 1975 she served as the first elected Jaycettes President of the United States. Jan was a well respect actuarial consultant and paralegal. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Cleda Difford. She is survived by her husband Jim Fargo of Phoenix, AZ, her children Andrew Yost, Charlotte Nener, James Fargo, her brother Gary, and sisters Joyce and Joan and 10 grandchildren. She had a love for racing, cross-stitch, gardening and collecting teapots.

Jan was a friend of Wagtimes and was always doing something for us. Her love for husband Jim, our “Manzanita Flash”, was obvious. Her fight of the cancer that took her was long and only her determination kept her going to the very end. She always had a smile and good words for everyone and will be missed by us all. Our heart goes out to Jim and her family as she will be missed.
