I met Jason for the first time at the groundbreaking ceremony of Perris Auto Speedway one sunny afternoon. Dean Thompson introduced us with this comment: Keep an eye on this young man, he can drive and will be a winner! He was right as time went on he proved he was something special. Over time he became a big midget winner and won the big ones. The last time I saw him, he called me by name with a "How's it goin' Wags? I was pretty impressed as he looked busy. He was about to be interviewd on camera by some TV deal and yet he had time for me and was cool as a cucumber. He had a great attitude and loved his son bringing him on many race events. The world misses Jason and all of us remember him well.
