R.J. Johnson and Bobby Cody got together on the back stretch and both got up in the air and into the wall. Both climbed out and Cody is walking away, but car is junk. R.J. hurt his ankle it appears and his car is repairable, but probably not tonight. The heat ended at 7 laps due to the red.

Note Steve Ostling is in Harlan Willis # 45 tonight as they prepare to head back to Oklahoma and Kansas for the sprint series next week. Hermansader is in the Nadine Keller car Steve usually drives. RJ Johnson used his back-up car for the semi and just missed a transfer with the 360 powered car. Jimmy Evens tried to make his first ever sprint race, but never got the car fired. Gardner had his 16th fast time earlier.
